So, I wasn’t yelled at, but I was berated for a long time today and had to keep my mouth shut and take it. Then, I picked the worst possible way to get back to work, so instead of being out for maybe 2 hours, it turned into nearly 4. Then, we had a birthday, and I missed the festivities. Plus, there was a little party for someone, who was promoted to corporate, and while I did stay too long there as it was, it would have put me behind schedule regardless, so I ended up putting in a lot of extra time at work, and to top it all off, I’m quite a bit over budget this month and lost a bunch of money. Am I complaining? Yes, today sucked. Luckily, I like this song.

Things this week have gone well. I was approved for my new place on Mercer Island and was able to sign the papers yesterday, so I pick up the keys on the 1st and head up to Bellingham so that I can meet the movers the next morning. They’ll pack my things, move them down to my new place, and then unpack all in the same day, which will be pretty nice. . . only taking a day to move.
At work, we had two regional directors visiting this week. It was really interesting to be included in those meetings, lunches, dinners, etc. As well, I went through new hire orientation and got a kick out of it when the HR director showed us something like an org chart, and my name was on it.
I’ve been so exhausted this week. The Tour started at 3:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday, and nearly every evening this week, I went out with one friend or another, so I haven’t been able to get much sleep. Needless to say, I’ve been trying to take a lot of naps. At the moment, it’s 5:30am, and I’ve been up for 1.5 hours already, watching the final day of the Tour.
Once I’m settled into my new place, I plan to find a gym and a capoeira group. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a a capoeira group here on the East-side.
