Create Your Own Vehicle
Just because you put it out there does not mean that someone cares to go looking for it. You need to make it easy for people to find. . . in many cases, that means serving it up nice and simple right in front of people.
How? Through a must-read blog, through an email newsletter, on a billboard, maybe on tv?
Blogs take a long time to gather steam and readership. Email newsletters do too, and billboards and tv, that’s just expensive.
People like Bill Marriott, Chris Brogan, and Derek Johnson have their vehicles already. They have successful companies, and people want to hear from others, who have been successful, so it doesn’t matter what medium they use… people will listen.
If you’re a relative unknown, you have to create your own vehicle for your message. I work on that everyday here, on Twitter, through email, and in any other number of places, and it’s a struggle, but little by little, people begin to listen. I don’t just talk and expect people to pay attention.
How do you plan to get your message out? And, once you do, how will you know someone’s listening?
