I find that the easiest way to end a conversation/debate/argument/etc without letting the person know that I don’t necessarily agree with them or that I don’t feel like talking about it anymore is: “Oh, I hadn’t thought of that. Thanks for letting me know.”

They come away feeling either like they’ve won and/or like they’ve taught me something and been helpful. I, on the other hand, get off the hook.
